Retention of workability at 20°C for approximately 20 minutes

Preparation of the surface:

- Concrete and cement surfaces must be cleaned of all environmental impurities, oils, dust, abrasions, and weak concrete.

- Use mechanical methods to level and compact the working surface.

- If rebar is visible, it is necessary to clear the area behind the rebar. The area around the repair should have a minimum depth of 10 millimeters.

- Rebar should be ground or sandblasted completely smooth using one of the methods.

Primer execution:

The prepared concrete surface should be saturated with water, then coated with a primer mixture (one part BETOBOND SA 46 + three parts water). The primer should be applied before the primer dries.

For reinforcing bars that have been coated with a primer mixture (one part cement + one part BETOBOND SA 46 + one part water). If the concrete and the repaired area are exposed to aggressive environmental conditions, the reinforcing bars should be coated with a layer of RING RICH plaster.

Preparation of the mortar:

- Pour Part B into a suitable container and mix gently with an appropriate mixer while adding the powder component.

Execution of Mortar:

- Before the primer dries, apply the prepared mortar using shotcrete, trowel, or manually. The repair mortar should be well compacted and pressed against the back of the rebars. Avoid applying dried mortar. Initially, thoroughly contaminate the surface with mortar, then apply a thick layer of mortar.

- The recommended maximum thickness per layer for vertical and horizontal surfaces is 50 millimeters, with a minimum of 10 millimeters, and for upper surfaces, it is 40 millimeters per layer.

- The second layer should be applied approximately 2 to 4 hours after the initial set, depending on the temperature and environmental conditions. Before applying the second layer, slightly scratch the surface of the first layer with a trowel.

- Protect freshly applied mortar surfaces from direct sunlight, high heat, frost, and wind in the early hours.

- For curing the mortar, use a damp cloth or nylon cover for three days.

- BETOSIVE 1040 can be applied at temperatures between 5 to 35 degrees Celsius.

- Store bags containing BETOSIVE 1040 in a suitable environment with the desired temperature for storage.

BETOSIVE 1040 is consumed at a rate of 18 to 20 kilograms per square meter at a thickness of one centimeter.
