BETOGARD P-30
Waterproof coating of concrete surfaces with permeability properties
Specifications:
BETOGARD P-30 is made on the basis of special cement and micronized chemical and mineral fillers, which form resistant and waterproof crystals deep in the concrete due to chemical reaction and penetration in concrete openings and cavities.
Application:
As a waterproof coating:
• In water and sewage sources
• Cellars and water supply channels
• Concrete water tanks in treatment plants and structures that are adjacent to sea water.
• Tunnels and manholes
• Concrete foundations
• Repairing cracks and seams on concrete
• Concrete shear walls adjacent to soil
Advantages of using BETOGARD P-30:
• It does not have any adverse effects on surfaces in drinking water sources.
• Betogard P-30 crystal particles and molecules after curing and absorbing deep into the concrete only prevent water penetration and do not prevent the structure from breathing.
• Prevents the decomposition and destruction of concrete against carbonation, weathering and expansion and contraction against frost cycles.
• It has permanent properties and the Betogard P-30 crystals for sealing are always growing, in this sense, it repairs growth and cracks as soon as possible in structures that suffer from structural movements and cracks due to the passage of time.
• No need to smooth the surface.
• There is no need to apply a primer to prepare the surface below the work.
• Can be used on concrete surfaces from both sides.
Preparation:
• Clean concrete surfaces from dirt and dust.
• Old non-absorbable coatings such as paints and oils should be removed from the surface.
• Polished and smooth concrete surfaces should be prepared by sandblasting or waterblasting with acid washing (diluted hydrochloric acid).
• Pores and surface looseness of concrete should be removed from the surface with mechanical means.
• The concrete surface should be completely saturated before implementation.
• Repair damaged areas with BETOGARD P-30 paste.
• Repaired areas should be kept moist after 8 hours.
• To repair large areas, use mortar modified with SA12 with SA46 according to the specifications of the relevant brochures.
Composition method:
• BETOGARD P-30 can be mixed with water and with suitable concentration using soft brushes.
• BETOGARD P-30 two cups with one cup of water to apply with a brush
• BETOGARD P-30 two cups with one cup of water for spraying with the machine
• BETOGARD P-30 three cups with one cup of water to prepare the paste for local repairs
How to use:
• The surface under the work should be moistened beforehand.
• Apply for horizontal surfaces with a brush below and for vertical surfaces with a soft brush.
• BETOGARD P-30 paste is used for cracks and repair positions with a spatula or trowel.
• It should be noted that BETOGARD P-30 contains cement, therefore, prepare a limited amount of grout in a bucket or a bucket for up to 20 minutes and apply it immediately until the initial reaction of the grout on the surface is complete.
• The temperature conditions for implementation are higher than ten degrees Celsius and should not be implemented in rainy and frosty conditions.
• Color coatings cannot be used directly on the surfaces where BETOGARD P-30 is used, and to apply the color, it is necessary to remove the extra layer with dilute hydrochloric acid or mechanical means, then apply the desired color.
• Within 20 days from the implementation of BETOGARD P-30, the sealing test can be performed.
Processing:
• After applying BETOGARD P-30, the surfaces should be continuously moistened for up to 5 days with an interval of 8 hours. After 10 days, the surfaces are ready for operation.
• It is noted that keeping the surfaces moist causes the growth of BETOGARD P-30 crystals. For this reason, care should be taken in keeping surfaces moist. Heat and lack of water stops the growth of BETOGARD P-30 crystals.
• More time is needed for the growth of BETOGARD P-30 crystals in concretes that have deep and superficial holes and porosity.
• Concretes with unconventional deep and large pores need longer curing time for BETOGARD P-30 to grow and block the pores.
• The amount of consumption per square meter is 700 to 1200 grams per layer.
Packing:
BETOGARD P-30 is supplied in a 20 kg bag.
Storage life:
It can be used for up to 12 months if kept in proper and dry conditions.
